Most discussed hacking methods - an Interesting Survey
How to hack? How to hack facebook? How to hack emails? Aren’t these a few questions that you’d mostly see when you login to some hacking community or website? There was a survey and analysis done recently which sheds some light on “most discussed topics about hacking” around on different websites.
Various communities dealing with hacking, IT Security and research was involved in this survey. Survey was conducted in 2 parts. First part involved talking to the members of the website and figuring out what did they talk about the most. Wherein, second part was all about analyzing the trends of new topics and questions raised on their forums and other mediums.
Let’s take a look at the results first and then we’d discuss it in detail:
1. DOS/DDoS:
Denial of Services and Distributed denial of services, also referred to as DOS/DDoS is the most discussed subject / topic on different communities in the trend. I suspect the cause being a lot of attacks by Anonymous and Lulzsec hackers. There’s a lot of buzz about DDoS these days, as it is quite hard for new server management guys to handle it as the origins of the attack keeps changing.
That is the reason why everyone wants to learn about it and use it in their own way. That being said, DDoS wins the #1 position in the survey for being the Most Discussed Topic in the industry.
2. SQL Injection:
SQL Injection is the primary method used to extract and hack username and passwords of users of any website. Again, I suspect Lulzsec playing a big role in this trend, as they release password dumps of reputed websites time to time. Hence, everyone wants to learn more about SQL Injection, so that even they can get involved in nasty things and gain some rep(?) in the industry.
3. Spam:
Spam has emerged as one of the best ways to make money these days. These topics mostly involved mass mail, mail bomber. Basically, sending some fake offer to millions of people at once and ask them to fill a survey. Bigger the number of surveys filled, more money the spammer earned for himself. Therefor, the newbie hacker looking to make some money would always talk and search about spamming and making money with it.
Also, on the other hand, spamming is kinda famous ways for Marketing these days. Even you’d be receiving tons of e-mails everyday where new companies are introducing themselves. Which means, it is also widely used and discussed by Internet Marketing companies and individuals.
4. BurteForce & ShellCodes:
We’ve got 2 topics tie-ing on #4. Let’s talk about each of them and the reasons.
Bruteforce is mainly used to CRACK passwords in the database. Which means, when a bunch guys learnt how to perform SQL Injection to extract database values, next thing they want is to understand how to decrypt the passwords they found in the database tables. So a lot of a-little-experienced hackers initiate topics and trends about brutefocring the hashes to convert encrypted passwords into plain text. If you don’t know much about brute force, you can read about it HERE.
Shell coding is a little confusing for absolutely novice users reading it. In short, shell codes refer to small pieces of coding which automates the task of exploitation. For example, metasploit. You can read details about shell codes HERE.
5. Zero day vulnerabilities:
Zero Days are really attractive to new as well as experienced hackers, as they get to know flaws in some system before everyone else and the actual vendor does. Zero days makes it really easy for mass-hacking attacks. For example, if you are lucky enough to find out zero day vulnerability released in wordpress, you can practically hack into every wordpress blog that exists [even before wordpress patches it]. Hence there are tons of users searching and talking about zero day vulnerabilities all day long!
6. Others:
Rest of the 9% goes to other trends like “how to hack” “how do i hack” etc etc. These things will always exist when we’ve got new people trying to get into the industry .
After all, this survey was really interesting to see we’ve got more people who can be categorized into not-so-new category. I remember a year ago, everyone was in that “9%” bracket, which is now skilled upto shell coding, zero days etc. Which passively should send the message to corporate and development companies to get better developers, who can not only code but also secure the code .
Hope you found this survey useful [or entertaining anyway]. Feel free to re-tweet, fb share [you know that right?].

Can you share working soft for DdoS attack? LOIC is waste if you are alone
I do not encourage DDoS.
Understand the consequences, DDoS can directly put you into jail.
Better try off something else.
