Pakistani supreme court’s website hacked & defaced

Supreme court of Pakistan’s website was hacked on tuesday at around 8:00am. The index page of their website was changed and the hacker displayed a page abusing the Court and the Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhary.

Seems that the officials have noticed this incident and has initiated an investigation. As this incident directly questions the capability of IT intelligence of Pakistan.

According to Mumtaz Ali, who happens to be the network administrator of the Court, they have tried to restore the website back to normal. The website of the Pakistani Supreme Court is hosted on Government owned National Telecommunications Corporation also known as NTC servers. They are currently working on it to resolve the issue.

It really is a big concern of data security because this website was hosted on the Government Owned server and not any general web hosting company’s server. Lately, a lot of Pakistani government websites have been hacked and defaced. Let’s see what they can do to stop it
